Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using Kudos Chart, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Description of Service

Kudos Chart is a behavioral-science-based reward chart app for families with children ages 4–12. The app allows parents and children to create tasks, earn stars, redeem rewards, track achievements, and build positive habits. The app is available as a free download with optional premium features.

Free and Premium Tiers

  • Free tier: 5 active tasks, 3 custom rewards, 3 achievement celebrations, full access to stars, streaks, levels, Kudos Bank, and the parent dashboard.
  • Premium tier: Unlimited tasks, rewards, and achievement celebrations, plus mood insights, custom challenges, gamification customization, and iCloud sync across devices.
  • A 7-day free trial is available for new users.

Subscriptions and Billing

  • Premium is available as an auto-renewing subscription: Monthly ($2.99/month) or Annual ($19.99/year).
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price.
  • You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device’s Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
  • Any unused portion of a free trial period is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple according to their refund policies.

User Content

You retain ownership of all content you create within the app (task names, reward descriptions, child names, notes, etc.). Your content is stored locally on your device and optionally in your personal iCloud account if you enable sync. We do not access, review, or use your content.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use Kudos Chart only for its intended purpose as a family reward and task management tool. You agree not to attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, or exploit the app or its services.

Intellectual Property

The Kudos Chart app, including its design, code, graphics, and branding, is the intellectual property of Brent Kaplan. All rights reserved.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Kudos Chart is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted. The app is a motivational and organizational tool for families and is not a substitute for professional behavioral, psychological, or medical advice.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Brent Kaplan shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app.

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or restrict access to the app for any user who violates these Terms of Service.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States.
